We are seeking Equipment Operators to join our production team in Elwood, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly automated environment where you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our converting line processes.
As an Equipment Operator, you will learn and oversee various functions of the converting line, manage automated and manual systems, and contribute to the production of finished products tailored to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Operate and monitor high-speed converting equipment.
- Load materials and prepare machines for production runs.
- Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Respond to machine jams or misfeeds, addressing any defective products.
- Maintain equipment by monitoring lubricant, adhesive, and fluid levels.
- Participate in safety initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area by handling debris and ensuring proper housekeeping.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. frequently, and over 40 lbs. with assistance.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to temperature extremes, noise, and industrial materials.
- Previous experience in industrial or paper manufacturing environments preferred.
- Understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.
This role follows a 12-hour rotating schedule with a mix of day and night shifts. Example schedule:
- Day 1 & 2:6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Day 3 & 4:6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Next 4 Days:OFF
