Location: Scott Air Force Base
Duties As a SUPERVISORY COMPUTER ENGINEER at the NH-0854-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:
* Manage and mentor a team of 15-20 engineers, fostering professional growth, ensuring effective collaboration, and driving the successful delivery of logistics software projects.
* Develop strategic guidance for the modernization of PEO-T Programs of Record (PoRs) ensuring alignment with mission objectives, DoD policy and industry best practices within a hybrid cloud environment.
* Lead the implementation of Dev Sec Ops principles, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, and cybersecurity, to streamline the deployment of capabilities to the warfighter in a secure manner.
* Oversee the design and modernization of PoR software architectures across AWS Gov Cloud and on-premise environments, optimizing resource utilization and ensuring compliance with USTRANSCOM's Dev Sec Ops requirements, DoD Software Modernization, Zero Trust, and ICAM strategies.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, cybersecurity experts, operators, and logistics stakeholders, to ensure the PEO PoRs provide the desired capability and value to the customer.
* Identify and mitigate technical risks, monitor system performance, and implement improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and maintainability of PEO PoRs. Requirements Conditions of employment

Level: Advanced (formerly Level III) Qualifications You may qualify at the NH 4 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-3 (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
* Supervise technical personnel, including performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes team cohesion and productivity.
* Develop and implement Dev Sec Ops platform and software modernization strategic guidance at the enterprise level.
* Develop container based cloud architectures for software programs.
* Implement cybersecurity principles.
* Implement agile software development to include industry best practices.
* Implement cloud computing service models such as Software as Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
* Apply AI tools and best practices to optimize workflows and processes across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 0854, series as listed below:
Basic Requirements:
A. Degree:
Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships);
(c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics,…
