Pay: $22 - 28 per hour (based on experience)

The Finisher / Sprayer is responsible for applying paint, stain, clear coat, and other finishes to components in accordance with specifications, work orders, and quality standards.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and pride in workmanship are key. You’ll work on high-visibility components where the final finish truly matters.
- Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and drawings to determine finishing requirements
- Prepare surfaces and components for finishing, ensuring proper adhesion and quality results
- Set up and adjust spray equipment to achieve proper coating application
- Apply paint, stain, and clear coat to components using spray equipment
- Move and position parts for coating, including lifting and maneuvering onto work surfaces
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Troubleshoot and rework parts that do not meet quality requirements
- Clean and maintain spray booth and equipment, including changing filters as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Participate in training and cross-training efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in wet spray/paint application or finishing in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of paint application techniques, equipment, and surface preparation
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and written procedures
- Understanding of adhesion and proper substrate preparation
- Wood finishing experience (stains, sealers, and clear coats) preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to visually inspect parts for defects and inconsistencies
- Basic math, reading, and reasoning skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to multitask and adapt to production needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a manufacturing/production environment and may involve:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and crouching
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Use of spray equipment and tools
- Exposure to typical manufacturing noise levels
- Intermittent exposure to heat or cold
- Working in proximity to moving mechanical parts and machinery
- Overtime as needed based on production demands
