Job Summary
The Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Supervisor plays a pivotal role in upholding quality standards for our food products. This role involves engaging in variable work activities that demand sound judgment, including prioritization, result evaluation, and effective coordination with colleagues, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards for products produced on a specific shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead FSQA technicians on their assigned shift.
- Ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct audits and assist the FSQA manager in ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare the facility for GFSI and customer‑specific audits.
- Investigate and address customer complaints, foreign material incidents, and environmental issues.
- Verify production paperwork and conduct production floor checks.
- Execute GMP and housekeeping audits to ensure cleanliness and adherence to GMP standards.
- Oversee the annual reassessment of HACCP.
- Facilitate team‑member food safety training.
- Education: High School diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year in a food manufacturing environment with FSQA experience. Prefer supervisory experience. Preferred experience in protein and ready‑to‑eat production environments.
- Certifications: HACCP/HARPC certifications are preferred. Broad knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, FDA, and SSOPs.

Skills:
Basic computer skills for creating simple queries and spreadsheets; SAP knowledge preferred. - Communication
Skills:
Written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate across multiple disciplines. Ability to communicate with all levels of team‑members from hourly to upper management and with government officials. High‑level critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. - Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a small group of personnel who perform somewhat similar tasks.
- Willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
- Work in cold/hot temperatures ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Work in a wet environment.
- Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling.
- Reach high and low levels frequently.
- Climb step ladders and/or stairs.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Lock Out Tag Out certification required.
- Must reside in the United States.
