Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace is seeking individuals to contribute to the production of advanced jet engine components for commercial and military aircraft. The role involves machining metals, maintaining quality, and Working within a LEAN transformation environment while collaborating with team members to achieve safety, quality, and delivery goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Machine all types of metals
- Generate and check part dimensions during machining using measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges
- Achieve required tolerances and finishes to produce quality parts in a timely manner according to Manufacturing Engineering and Quality standards
- Maintain visual concentration to develop and sustain tolerances
- Ensure all characteristics at designated operations conform through applicable inspection techniques
- Perform setup and operation of equipment to drawings or method sheets, with occasional input from personal job knowledge
- May perform minor maintenance on machine tools
- May train operators to use certain equipment if qualified
- Keep facilities, material, and work area orderly with good housekeeping practices
- Adhere to environmental, health and safety requirements and quality standards
- Participate in a team-based environment, attending daily team meetings, communicating professionally, and considering diverse ideas
- Record own time accurately using prescribed systems and maintain electronic records
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing/machining experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience reading/measuring mechanical blueprints or production planning
- Experience with setup and operation of any 2 CNC processes (drilling, milling, grinding, turning)
- Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges)
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs
Desired Characteristics
- 3-5 years machine shop or prior aerospace engine machining experience
- Ability to use computers and learn Microsoft Office
- Education/training in machine shop operations
- Understanding of CNC and manual machine operations
- Basic programming knowledge including reading/editing programs
- Experience in a self-directed team environment
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
Pay
The pay for this position is $ per hour. This posting is expected to close on December 28, 2025.
