Job Description
As an R&O Maintenance Technician here at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of our equipment and systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety and performance in our operations.
You will report directly to our Maintenance Manager, and you’ll work out of our Metropolis, IL location.
In this role, you will impact the success of Solstice Advanced Materials by ensuring that maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to Site Safety Protocols and Regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations
Due to U.S. export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status under asylum or refugee.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Basic / Fundamental understanding of electricity
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Commitment to Safety
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
The annual base pay range for this position is $46,623 to $58,279. This salary information is a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including scope and responsibilities of the position, your work experience, education and training, key skills, and market and business considerations.
