Maintenance Technician

Our client, a reputable manufacturing company located in Steeleville, IL, is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all production equipment within the facility. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and completing work orders in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Conduct routine maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Complete work orders and document all maintenance and repairs performed
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule
• Assist with equipment installations and modifications as needed
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding equipment issues and maintenance schedules
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing equipment
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call for emergency repairs
