CNC Operator
Current Schedule (Mon-Thurs) 3:00 PM-3:00 AM Upcoming Schedule Change (Effective July 5, 2026) This position will transition to a rotating 12-hour schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Week 1:
Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (36 hours)
Week 2:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (40 regular hours + 8 hours overtime)
This rotation schedule provides:
- Every other weekend off
- 14 working days per month
- Guaranteed overtime every other week
Job Description:
The CNC Operator specializes in the production of high-quality outdoor plastic furniture components. Focusing on CNC machining, this role calls for individuals with 1+ years of experience in the manufacturing sector. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and a steadfast commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Role and Responsibilities / Essential Functions- CNC Operations: Operate CNC machines to cut, drill, and shape plastic components. Familiarity with G-code is advantageous but not required as programming is not a primary function.
- Manual Assembly: Employ handheld power tools to assemble various components accurately.
- Saw Cutting: Perform precise cuts on plastic materials using both automated and manual saws, ensuring optimal usage and minimal waste.
- Production Accountability: Assume responsibility for all activities and output in your designated work area, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality checks using measurement tools to ensure each component meets dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Perform additional duties such as machine maintenance, tooling changes, and other tasks as assigned.
- Safety Compliance: Prioritize and uphold safety measures, particularly when working around hot machinery and moving equipment. Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines. Report any safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Training: Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reporting: Promptly report any operational inefficiencies or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Requirements
Required Skills / Abilities / Competencies
- Measurement
Skills:
Competency in reading and interpreting measurements from a tape measure, digital calipers, and other measuring instruments. - Tool Proficiency:
Experience with various hand and power tools, including but not limited to, drills, impact drivers, and pneumatic systems. - Scheduling:
Capability to adhere to production timelines and meet output targets. - Coordination:
Ability to collaborate with team members to achieve collective production goals and ensure workflow efficiency.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of experience in CNC operation, specifically in a plastic manufacturing environment, is preferred but not required.
- 1+ years of experience in Manually Assembly, is preferred but not required.
