Job Title: Structural Fabricator Teammate

Location: El Paso, IL, United States

Division: American Buildings Company - IL

Compensation: $25-$37 per hour plus weekly and annual bonuses; eligible for profit sharing (average 20% of eligible earnings)

Schedule: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am, 3-4 days per week on a 2-2-3 continental pattern; 12‑hour shifts

• Perform fit-up, tacking, and welding operations on various structural assemblies.
• Weld and follow all weld standards and procedures.
• Add stiffeners, brackets, face plates, and other components using printed locations prior to finishing welding.
• Use clamps, jigs, tape, square, arc air gouger, cutting torch and plasma welder as required, following procedures and best practices to prevent warping and misalignment.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Inspect, detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to appropriate leadership.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Follow prescribed safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
• Show commitment to helping where needed and being a valued teammate.

• Ability to read and understand weld symbols.
• Experience using arc gouger tools.
• Prior crane certification and experience with overhead crane use.
• Experience in material handling.
• Background in welding, operational understanding, and knowledge of standard welding practices and procedures.
• Minimum 1 year fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
