Shipping Team Leader

Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.’s Shipping Department’s Shipping Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that inbound and outbound shipments are correct and all associated paperwork is recorded in addition to leading and motivating the Shipping Department’s Packagers and Drivers.

Manage a team of Packagers and Drivers.

• Use the shipping schedule and item tracking software to plan the day.
• Approve outbound shipments and account for all items.
• Account for any items that are missing or did not ship.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and order as needed.
• Receive inbound shipments, look for errors or damage to products, and deliver to departments.
• Stage products for delivery.
• Assist with the proper loading of delivery trucks and trailers.
• Prepare items for UPS or Spee Dee shipments.
• Communicate with the Production Coordinator on the status of shipments.
• Communicate with dealers about expected shipments, delays, backorder items, etc.
• Ensure that all shipping and receiving paperwork is prepared, filled out, and stored correctly.
• Ensure that all delivery paperwork is prepared and maintain records.
• Dedication to keeping a clean and well-stocked working environment.
• Cross-train in other areas during department downtime.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Prior shipping or packaging experience is preferred but not required.

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, or stepstools on an occasional basis.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces on an occasional basis.
• Remain constantly standing/sitting in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
• Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one workstation to another on an occasional basis.
• Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.
• Constant movement of objects up to 20 pounds.
• Constant movement of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Constant movement of objects up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.
• Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
• Constant operation of machinery and/or power tools.
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment on an occasional basis.

• Occasional exposure to high temperatures during summer months.
• Occasional exposure to noisy environments.
• Occasional exposure to airborne particles, specifically sawdust.

$22.00 to $25.00 an hour.

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. (40 hours a week). Mandatory overtime is determined on a day-to-day basis.
