Operations

Caterpillar Mapleton Seals seeks a skilled, detail‑oriented Grinding Specialist. You will operate grinding machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. The role requires high precision, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety standards. The position starts at $23.22 per hour, with periodic wage increases. Pay includes a $1.00 per hour night shift premium for 3rd shift. Normal hours are 40 per week with overtime opportunities.

The role is full‑time, requiring no relocation or travel.

• Set up grinders and similar machinery.
• Operate grinders to produce parts and components to exact tolerances.
• Adjust equipment as needed and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Read and understand written directions.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area.

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work alone and with a team, managing time effectively.

• Previous manufacturing environment experience.
• Basic knowledge in reading and interpreting prints.
• Strong understanding of machine and manufacturing principles.

• Shifts available: 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:00 pm, Monday–Friday); 3rd shift (11:00 pm–7:00 am, Sunday night–Friday morning).
• Positions are supplemental full‑time.
• Candiate must be at least 18 years old.
