Position

First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) – MQ-25 Team, Mascoutah, IL.

Position Responsibilities
  • Lead employees performing work across multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develop and execute business plans, policies, and procedures while establishing organizational and technical strategies to achieve operational objectives
  • Secure resources, provide technical oversight of suppliers, and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes to ensure compliance and execution excellence
  • Champion a zero‑injury mindset and a first‑time quality culture through accountability, engagement, and disciplined execution
  • Lead, inspire, develop, and motivate employees to drive performance, engagement, and continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with or supporting military aircraft
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent work or military experience
  • Previous knowledge or experience with LEAN and 5S activities
  • Experience with military aircraft maintenance
  • Experience with team building, developing, and motivating employees

Travel

This position may require up to 10% travel, domestically between Mascoutah, IL and Berkeley, MO sites.

Shift

This role is primarily first shift; however, additional shift requirements may be necessary to support program objectives.

Total Rewards

Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time away from work. Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $111,350 – $150,650.

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined under 22 C.F.R. 120.62 includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
