General Laborer ; 2nd Shift

Position: General Laborer I (2nd Shift)
Location: Richmond

We’re currently seeking a 2nd Shift General Laborer I to join our growing team of diverse manufacturing professionals in Richmond, Illinois.

This role will support our 2nd shift, which works Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 1:30am. Training will be conducted during 1st shift (Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm) and then transition to 2nd shift.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Follows assembly instructions

Mindful of all safety and quality protocol

Operates cranes and jib cranes

Assists other employees, works collaboratively to accomplish goals

Takes initiative by providing input and information to resolve assembly issues

Identifies delays or barriers such as material shortages or quality issues

High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

Follows instructions for operating equipment and keeping records

Executes assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner

Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to obtain forklift certification

High School diploma or GED Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck or other loading equipment

Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time Having a good sense of balance

Having good eye-hand-foot coordination

Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights

Ability to work in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust Ability to work on-site in Richmond, Illinois

Preferred Qualifications:

Math, language, reading, and basic computer skills

Valid driver’s license with a clean recent driving record
