Job DescriptionThe Manual Material Handler plays a key role in supporting production operations by safely moving, storing, staging, and supplying materials throughout a manufacturing facility. This position involves pushing a cart across the production floor for 8 or more hours per day and transporting parts to the appropriate departments to keep workflows running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Move, store, stage, and supply materials throughout the manufacturing facility to support ongoing production operations.
- Push wheeled carts loaded with small parts across the production floor for 8+ hours per day.
- Transport parts and materials to the correct departments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform general warehouse tasks such as picking and packing materials as needed.
- Support general production and assembly activities to ensure continuous workflow.
- Use basic power tools safely and correctly as required for production or material handling tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while lifting, moving, and handling materials up to 50 pounds.
- Communicate effectively with production and warehouse team members to coordinate material needs and priorities.
- Assist with other general labor duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in a General Labor or General Production role.
- Ability to stand and walk consistently for 8+ hours per day on the production floor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks.
- Ability to push small parts on wheeled carts throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Experience with general warehouse activities such as picking and packing.
- Experience in general production and assembly environments.
- Ability to use basic power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
- Reliable work ethic and ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency.
Skills & Qualifications
- Background in customer service or cashier roles, demonstrating strong communication and reliability.
- Comfort working in a traditional manufacturing shop environment.
- Willingness to cross-train in various production and material handling tasks.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small to mid-sized team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company.

This role is based in a traditional manufacturing shop environment within a facility of up to approximately 100 employees. The company specializes in telescopic seating manufacturing and operates as an industry leader in its field. The noise level is moderate, and the environment is non-temperature controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Work involves being on your feet, standing and walking on the production floor for most of the shift, and pushing wheeled carts with small parts throughout the facility.
You will work around general production equipment and power tools in a typical manufacturing setting, following standard safety practices and guidelines.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
