Swiss CNC Machine OperatorLocation:
Barrington, IL, US
Salary: $39,000.00 – $60,000.00 annually
The Swiss CNC Machine Operator produces custom precision parts by operating a multi‑axis CNC Swiss‑Style machine. The role maintains quality and safety standards, records operations, and keeps equipment and supplies in good condition.
Responsibilities- Operate multiple machines throughout the shift and produce parts within required tolerances.
- Inspect precision products using measuring equipment and visual inspection.
- Make offset adjustments, sharpen and change tooling, and maintain machine fluid levels.
- Operate and load bar feeder and measure bar stock material.
- Check material to ensure correct material is used per blueprint and job specifications.
- Maintain equipment by performing preventative maintenance and keeping a clean, safe workstation.
- Communicate with set‑up persons, supervisors, foreman, and other shifts regarding quality and job status.
- Verify machine cycle time and coordinate with set‑up persons if cycle time cannot be met.
- Document in‑process inspection as required.
- Train personnel as needed.
- Address issues positively.
- Perform other work‑related activities as assigned by supervisors.
- Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions, interpret blueprints, and inspect precision machined parts.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
- Physical ability to work continuously standing, bending, twisting, and stooping entire shift.
- Physical strength to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the day.
- One year experience operating CNC Swiss‑style machines (Citizen, Tornos, Deco, or Star).
- Ability to keep multiple CNC machines operational while producing quality product.
- Mathematical and verbal/written communication abilities.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
- Basic GD&T understanding.
- Effective time‑management skills.
- Can‑do attitude.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Shift: 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 3pm – 11:30pm) or 3rd shift (Monday – Friday, 11pm – 7:30am).
