CNC Punch Press Operator
Operate a CNC punch press to produce precision metal components. This role includes machine setup, running production, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality standards are met in a safe, organized shop environment.
Responsibilities- Operate CNC punch press equipment to produce parts to spec
- Perform setups, tooling changes, and multiple changeovers per shift
- Make minor program adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Identify and report material defects or equipment issues
- Read and interpret blueprints and measurements
- Perform basic machining tasks (drilling, tapping, deburring, cutting, etc.)
- Inspect finished parts and document results
- Complete production paperwork accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate with team members to keep production on track
- 2–5 years of CNC punch press experience
- Strong setup and changeover experience
- Ability to edit programs and troubleshoot issues
- Blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Hands-on machining experience in a production environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Experience with automated punch press equipment
- Knowledge of tooling selection and maintenance
- Experience working with various metals
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of University Park, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
