Summary

This fast-paced, hands-on position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with tools, working with robotic paint line equipment, assembling complex products, and contributing to a world-class manufacturing operation. You'll ensure every Ilmor engine is painted properly and perfectly every time: ready to install into boats for our customers.

Responsibilities

Our Marine Engine Production Team may perform a large number of activities, described below.

  • Follow work instructions, quality procedures, diagrams, photographs, and assembly documentation.
  • Safely use hand tools, air tools, hoists, machinery, and specialized assembly equipment.
  • Perform repetitive assembly operations while maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Assemble engine and electrical components using bolts, clips, screws, solder, adhesives, and other fastening methods.
  • Handle, position, move, and install materials and components throughout the assembly process, which can be heavy
  • Help conduct assembly activities in pre-paint, post-paint, staging, pre-assembly, painting, final assembly, and shipping areas.
  • Inspect components, partially assembled engines, and completed engines to identify defects, errors, or quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned..
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully, including basic written instructions, diagrams, photographs, and quality procedures.
  • Ability to safely use machines, air tools, hoists, portable power tools, and special processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to mobilize support when necessary.
  • Ability to organize work, plan multiple tasks, and complete assignments effectively.
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, automotive, marine, or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production or technical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using visual work instructions, quality checklists, or standardized assembly procedures.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively.
  • The employee will regularly work in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, noise, and industrial conditions may occur. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn when required.
  • The noise level in the work environment may be elevated, and in some positions hearing protection is required and provided.
  • Requires close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work safely and effectively around production equipment, tools, and test systems.
