Position Title:
Assembly
Wage: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours:
6:00am-2:30pm
QPS Employment Group has a great Assembly position available at a company in Cherry Valley, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Assemble products and components according to specifications, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Follow established testing, assembly, and quality procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Communicate production issues, quality concerns, and continuous improvement ideas to leadership.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and management directives.
- Participate in required training, workshops, and safety programs.
- Support team objectives and assist with other production-related activities as assigned.
- Work on manufacturing orders as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Operations Lead.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components to required specifications.
- Perform panel wiring and basic electrical assembly tasks.
- Cut, glue, and assemble PVC piping and related components.
- Apply paint and coatings as required by product specifications.
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and manually operated material handling equipment.
- Operate powered material handling equipment when authorized and trained.
- Conduct product testing and inspections according to established procedures.
- Verify completed assemblies meet quality and production standards.
- Report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, and production concerns promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Prior blueprint and mechanical drawing reading experience preferred.
- Previous assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagram-based instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to work with hands and small components.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to maintain production standards.
