Assembly

Wage: $19.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours:

6:00am-2:30pm

QPS Employment Group has a great Assembly position available at a company in Cherry Valley, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assemble products and components according to specifications, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
  • Follow established testing, assembly, and quality procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Communicate production issues, quality concerns, and continuous improvement ideas to leadership.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and management directives.
  • Participate in required training, workshops, and safety programs.
  • Support team objectives and assist with other production-related activities as assigned.
  • Work on manufacturing orders as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Operations Lead.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components to required specifications.
  • Perform panel wiring and basic electrical assembly tasks.
  • Cut, glue, and assemble PVC piping and related components.
  • Apply paint and coatings as required by product specifications.
  • Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and manually operated material handling equipment.
  • Operate powered material handling equipment when authorized and trained.
  • Conduct product testing and inspections according to established procedures.
  • Verify completed assemblies meet quality and production standards.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, and production concerns promptly.
Assembly Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
  • Prior blueprint and mechanical drawing reading experience preferred.
  • Previous assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagram-based instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to work with hands and small components.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to maintain production standards.
