Basic

Job Functions:



Commercial Track Teammates fabricate, manufacture, and assemble overhead door track sets for C.H.I. doors. Teammates coordinate across assigned roles to meet daily production standards.

Table Roles:

• Riveter - operates a riveter and rivets anything needed on the track set, including angles on horizontals, jam brackets, and clip per production list specifications.

• Backman - bolts anything needed on the track set and assists the Riveter.

• Bander - bands and packages the complete track set and stacks on a cart based on customer order and truck assignment.

Support Roles:

• Pullers, High Lift, Vert Lift, Follow the Roof Line, Powder Coat, Low Headroom, High Lift Drill Table, and Water Spiders who prep the tables.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Read production paperwork and diagrams to understand assignments and build specifications.

• Use measuring devices to accurately measure components to tolerance.

• Operate a band saw and power drills as required.

• Operate a tugger.

• Attach appropriate labels to products.

• Notify the Team Lead of any mechanical or material issues.

• Maintain production standards without compromising quality.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
This is a physically demanding role. Teammates regularly handle materials ranging from 8 to 23 feet in length, weighing between 50 and 100 pounds, with weight that is not evenly distributed across the length

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Compensation Data

Base Rate
$19.91/hour + $1.00 Second Shift Differential + Weekly Production Bonus

Production Bonus
Production Bonus percentage is variable, determined upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly. Example:
Hourly Base Rate = $19.91 + $1.00 Second Shift Differential = $20.91. Weekly Production Bonus = 60%. Total Hourly Rate = $33.46.

Profit-Sharing
10% of Nucor's pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, automotive, or construction.

• Willingness to obtain tugger certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with tape measure and measuring tools.

• Experience reading prints or schematics.
