Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for welding and fabricating parts according to blueprint specification. The welder will fit and weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal parts using a MIG/TIG/FLUX and/or Stick process. Our parts are diverse and demand technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a proactive safety mindset.
Must be able to pass a 1G/2G/3G weld test (Required)
Joins and repairs metal and other welding materials; using appropriate welding techniques: MIG/TIG/STICK/FLUX
Utilize measuring equipment such as tape measures, rulers, calipers, micrometers to ensure quality work
Measures, marks, and scribes’ dimensions and reference points on materials or workpiece as guides for welding
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to blueprint specifications, using precision measuring instruments
Operates and observes to detect malfunctions or non-conforming conditions and adjusts machine controls as required
Maintain welding equipment in good working condition
Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to achieve production goals
Record and report production data accurately and timely
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Welding school preferred.
