Job Opportunity At Van Drunen Farms

At Van Drunen Farms, we're not just providing ingredients; we're providing people with purpose and possibility. As a trusted partner in delivering fruit, vegetable, herb, and grain-based ingredient solutions to companies around the globe, we're striving to build a values-aligned workforce that embodies humility, integrity, passion, and excellence.

We are looking for individuals to support production operations across drying, freezing, wet and dry processing, sifting, grinding, boxing, and packaging processes. You will safely start, operate, monitor, and make minor adjustments to production equipment while following all safety procedures and Lock Out/Tag Out requirements. You will perform equipment setup, changeovers, cleaning, sanitation, material handling, and production support activities to maintain efficient operations.

You will complete quality checks, Critical Control Point (CCP) verifications, and follow GMPs and SOPs to ensure product quality and compliance. You will collaborate with production teams and other departments, train new employees, communicate concerns, and promote accountability for safety, quality, and performance. You will help achieve production goals by preparing for shift transitions, maintaining accurate records, and working overtime as needed.

To qualify, you should have a high school diploma or GED required. At least one year of production experience or an equivalent combination of related experience, education, and training is preferred. You should be able to read and write, with basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP systems or scanners. Experience creating shift reports, maintaining documentation, and communicating basic production data is a plus.

Strong math skills with the ability to accurately count inventory, report weights, and perform basic calculations are necessary. Previous forklift experience is a plus, and forklift certification may be required with training provided as needed.

You can look forward to a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Saturdays as needed. You will have an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality food production operations. Ongoing training and development in safety, food quality, compliance, and equipment operation are available. You will work in a collaborative environment where teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued.

The work environment may include dusty, cold, hot, humid, wet, loud, or outdoor conditions depending on the assigned area. Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, frequent bending and kneeling, pushing and pulling equipment, using required PPE, and regularly lifting or handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

The statements provided are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, qualifications, or skills required. Responsibilities and job requirements may change based on business needs. Employees may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as required.
