The Final Packaging Operator is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging freeze-dried yogurt treats in accordance with company quality standards, food safety regulations, and customer specifications. This role ensures product integrity, labeling accuracy, and proper handling to support timely order fulfillment and overall production goals.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting on final packaging equipment including bagging, sealing, labeling, and boxing machinery to ensure efficient production flow.
Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and accurate labeling in accordance with batch specifications and packaging instructions.
Accurately weigh, count, and verify product quantities, maintaining detailed production records such as batch logs, lot numbers, and traceability documents.
Maintain a clean and sanitary packaging environment by adhering to GMP, HACCP, and allergen handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address packaging or product issues and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and report shortages to maintain production readiness.
Follow all safety protocols, report equipment malfunctions, or hazards promptly, and participate in ongoing training related to SOPs, food safety, and equipment operation.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements.
Support team members and cross-functional departments as required to meet production goals.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Basic math, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, food production environment.
Effective teamwork and communication skills.
Familiarity with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP) and sanitation procedures.
Ability to stand, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Willingness to participate in training and continuous improvement efforts.
