Role DescriptionThe Material Handler role at Stellar Mfg is a full-time, on-site position based in Sauget Illinois. This role is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the facility to support production and shipping activities. Day-to-day tasks include receiving incoming materials, verifying documentation, organizing and storing inventory, and preparing orders for shipment. The Material Handler will perform packing and labeling, assist with maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure timely material flow.
This position also involves operating material handling equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Any data entry skills will help you move up ladder faster into a Coordinator position.
- Experience with material handling and unloading, including safe movement of products and use of basic warehouse equipment.
- Skills in shipping & receiving, with the ability to verify orders, inspect materials, and process documentation accurately.
- Knowledge of inventory control and packing, including organizing stock, preparing shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, ergonomics best practices, and company policies in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and reliability in completing tasks on time.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams.
- Prior manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent beneficial.
