Blending Operator
Our client in Orangeville, Illinois, is an industry expert production facility seeking motivated individuals to join their expanding team. As a Blending Operator on AM shift, you will primarily be weighing ingredients, dumping and blending batches, and kit and staging batches per customer specifications.
Responsibilities of the Blending Operator- Work as part of a team to support production and sanitation operations.
- Follow all company and government safety standards and procedures.
- Weigh, kit, dump, and blend batches according to specifications.
- Complete and verify daily production and sanitation documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization per the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Assemble, set up, and operate production equipment as needed.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and become forklift certified if required.
- Follow SOPs and ensure proper labeling and packaging of products.
- Safely handle allergens (soy, wheat, milk) and chemicals during production.
- Perform duties in wet, dusty, and temperature-variable environments.
- Report any unsafe conditions, injuries, or incidents immediately.
- Crosstrain in multiple areas and assist as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Work with minimal supervision and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
- Experience with in food production preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Good math skills.
- Computer data entry.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Ability to read, understand and complete SOP’s and company documentation.
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to function and perform in wet and dusty environments with varying temperatures.
- Ability to work on elevated platforms (varying heights).
- Ability to work with allergens present (i.e. soy, wheat, and milk).
Starting at $20/hour.
