Plastipak Packaging, Inc. seeks a Night Shift Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable operation of high-speed manufacturing equipment in a rigid plastic packaging facility. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues; perform preventive and predictive maintenance; and support rapid line changeovers to meet production targets. Responsibilities include reading technical schematics, executing work orders, documenting repairs in a CMMS, and collaborating with production teams to improve equipment uptime.
You'll help drive a culture of safety, quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement in a global, technology-driven plant environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic production equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing lines
- Support equipment setups and changeovers to meet production schedules
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
- Use CMMS to complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities
- Inspect equipment to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions
- Follow and promote plant safety procedures and lockout/tagout standards
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to improve equipment uptime
- Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machinery
- Participate in continuous improvement, 5
- S, and root-cause analysis activities
