Description
Purpose:
Assist in Production Pack Line (Operator) finished product according to customer requirements per QC instructions.
Primary Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Collaborate closely with the Pack Line Operator to ensure smooth operation of the packaging line.
- Provide support in setting up and adjusting machinery for different product runs.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist in monitoring the flow of materials and products through the packaging process.
- Operate filling machines to ensure accurate and consistent filling of containers according to specified weights and volumes.
- Perform regular checks to verify the weight and volume of filled containers, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Stacking pallets per customer specifications.
- Seal containers securely using appropriate methods and equipment to maintain product integrity.
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished products and packaging to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies.
- Record and report any discrepancies or issues found during the inspection process.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure it is in good condition.
- Participate in safety training sessions and stay updated on best practices for workplace safety.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- May be required to operate powered equipment as deemed necessary by management.
- Adhere to established packaging protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, including batch numbers, quantities, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Ensure that all packaging materials are used efficiently and waste is minimized.
- Collaborate with quality control and other departments to ensure that packaging meets all regulatory and company standards.
- You may be required to perform other duties as needed to support the overall operations and objectives of the manufacturing facility.
Qualifications and
Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred.
- Basic understanding of machinery and equipment used in packaging processes.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to Detail:
Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and identify defects or inconsistencies in products and packaging. - Time Management:
Efficiently manage time to meet production deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks. - Teamwork:
Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
