Position Overview
Development Officer, Annual Giving – division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
RoleKey member of the Annual Giving team, focused on delivering a first‑class philanthropic experience for donors via personalized digital engagement. Will manage a portfolio of ~1,000 donors and prospects, meeting weekly, monthly, and annual goals.
Responsibilities- Execute high-volume, personalized outreach campaigns using digital tools (CRM, social media, video, phone, email).
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts to support the Annual Giving program.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications, Alumni Relations, and Development to connect donors to meaningful engagement opportunities.
- Build a pipeline of future major‑gift prospects while meeting near‑term annual giving goals.
- Provide stewardship through appreciation, impact communication, and encouraging sustained support.
- Represent UNLV at campus and community events; occasional travel, evenings, or weekends may be required.
- Engage donors with a donor‑centric approach both in‑person and virtually.
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- 1–3 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, and confidentiality handling.
- Experience in higher‑education advancement or fundraising.
- Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, or digital engagement tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in outreach, sales, or customer‑engagement environments.
