Position Description – Pastor
Fairview Reformed Church is seeking a full‑time pastor to become a part of the fabric of our congregation and village by ministering to the total life of this community through preaching, teaching, witnessing and proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Our church has a diverse congregation of all ages, 47% of which are young families and children, while our second largest population group is over 65. We are a friendly church that cares deeply about each other and is passionate about reaching the unchurched while growing in our own relationship with our Lord and Savior.
Fairview is located in the beautiful agricultural heartland of Illinois, thirty miles east of Peoria and midway between Chicago and St. Louis. The historic church has been conducting services continually since it was organized in 1837 and is the oldest Reformed Church west of the Allegheny Mountains. Worship is still conducted in the beautifully restored, original two‑story building completed in 1841, with a modern Fellowship Hall and a four‑bedroom parsonage built in 1999.
