Position Summary
Wayne City Baptist Church in Wayne City, Illinois is seeking a full‑time lead pastor. We average 50–75 per Sunday. We are currently seeking an individual that is relational, has a shepherd’s heart for both the church body and the community, and most importantly is led by the Spirit to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We offer a salary range of $55–65k based on experience and education.
A large brick parsonage with a spacious backyard is available.
The church building is beautifully maintained and located next to the local K‑12 school district, providing opportunities to open our doors for youth events. We partner closely with the school. Some ongoing ministries include Wednesday night youth (averaging 60 kids), VBS, freezer meals, and Sewers for Christ. The lead pastor will preach and teach the Gospel, lead the church in worship, and serve as a shepherd to the congregation and community.
