Vienna High School strives to graduate active, self-actualized 21st-century citizens who are caring, career-directed, and value-oriented. Through the Impact Southern Illinois Together project, Vienna High School and its rural partner organizations (Pope County School District, Cairo School District, and Rolling in Faith) are building sustainable capacity to expand programming and resources for low-income youth and families across Johnson, Pope, Alexander, and Massac Counties.
VISTA members serve at the Vienna High School hub and are dispatched to partner sites for capacity-building engagements — they do not deliver or directly supervise ongoing programming. Instead, VISTA members build the volunteer systems, partnerships, and sustainability infrastructure that local staff will use to carry this work forward independent of ongoing VISTA support.
