Position Overview
Hamilton Memorial Hospital District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of nursing and patient care services. This role is critical in advancing clinical excellence, patient safety, staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and fiscal stewardship within a rural Critical Access Hospital environment.
The CNO serves as a senior leader responsible for aligning nursing operations with organizational goals while fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
- Provide executive oversight of nursing and patient care services across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Lead quality, patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Support Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities
- Ensure staff competency, licensure compliance, and professional development
- Collaborate with executive leadership and Medical Staff to support organizational strategy and operational effectiveness
- Participate in budgeting, staffing planning, and resource stewardship
