Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a top Critical Access Hospital in Fairfield, IL to identify a dedicated Med Surg Registered Nurse
. This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a tight‑knit rural hospital setting and wants a clear pathway to becoming a permanent member of a supportive clinical team.

This Med Surg RN will provide high-quality patient care across a broad range of adult and geriatric medical needs. You’ll join a collaborative team that values strong assessment skills, adaptability, and confident clinical judgment. This is a day shift role (3x12s) with 36 hours scheduled weekly

Contract length: 13 weeks

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care within the Med Surg unit
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor clinical changes
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold facility safety standards
• Support a rural hospital environment where teamwork is essential

• Active RN license (Illinois)
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience preferred
• Current BLS certification
  ; ACLS preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on nights
• Comfort working in a Critical Access Hospital setting
