Job Description- Assist with newborn care at deliveries, providing immediate care and support to newborns during and after delivery.
- Maintain skills in neonatal resuscitation to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Demonstrate assessment skills in high and low-risk obstetrical patients to identify potential risks and health issues.
- Identify and report maternal and newborn problems to the physician promptly.
- Assist with the transfer of newborns to other facilities when indicated, ensuring safe and efficient transfers.
- Accurately identify and band newborns, mothers, and significant others to prevent mix-ups.
- Document all care activities accurately, including band identification numbers in medical records.
- Provide care during obstetrical surgical procedures, assisting in the Labor & Delivery Operating Suite.
- Perform intraoperative and post-anesthesia care according to established standards.
- Conduct steam sterilization processing for instruments and supplies, ensuring all sterilization parameters are met.
- Provide emotional support for grieving parents, offering compassionate support and connecting them with appropriate support groups.
- Educate and support families about newborn care, health conditions, and post-discharge care.

- 1+ acute nursing experience [Preferred]

- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range: $33.60 - $56.52
