Nurse Manager Critical Care—step into a high-impact leadership role where advanced critical care, innovation, and a mission-driven culture converge to elevate outcomes and careers.

As a Critical Care Nurse Manager, the organization offers an environment known for clinical excellence, patient-first values, and a strong reputation for safety and quality, where transparent outcomes, low HAI rates, and high patient experience scores reflect a relentless focus on doing what’s right; the ICU Nurse Manager will also find forward-looking leadership that invests in cutting-edge technology, modern data and analytics, virtual nursing support, and streamlined EHR tools, plus a Magnet-style professional practice culture with shared governance, evidence-based resources, tuition assistance, paid CEUs, simulation training, conference support, and clearly defined pathways for advancement.

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is the heart of complex care, and the RN Manager Intensive Care will lead a high-acuity service that delivers advanced life support, including ECMO, with specialized, multidisciplinary collaboration; the ICU also features Magnet-recognized nursing excellence for better outcomes, reduced readmissions via the Rothman Index/HART program, and Level II trauma capabilities that ensure swift, coordinated responses to the most critical cases.

Reporting to a Director of Critical Care Services with close collaboration from the Chief Nursing Officer, the ICU Nurse Manager will be supported by experienced charge RNs, clinical educators, and unit-based councils while overseeing staffing, budgets, quality, throughput, and readiness; this role mentors emerging leaders, drives evidence-based protocols, champions Just Culture safety, partners with intensivists, APPs, pharmacy, PT/OT, case management, and social work, and cultivates a friendly, inclusive team of nurses and diverse healthcare professionals who take pride in exceptional bedside care and continuous improvement.

Set in western Illinois, the RN Manager Critical Care will enjoy a lifestyle that blends riverfront charm with modern convenience—scenic trails, parks, and cycling paths, vibrant concerts and community festivals, family-friendly neighborhoods with a notably affordable cost of living, and housing options from historic homes to new builds; strong K–12 schools and nearby higher education, reliable healthcare access, and short commutes make daily life easy, while a diversified regional economy, entrepreneurial energy, and stable job market add long-term security;

local eateries, craft brewing, college sports, museums and theaters, clean air, safe streets, walkable districts, pet-friendly amenities, and access to regional airports provide additional quality of life.

Offering competitive compensation, differential opportunities, performance incentives, and a full suite of health and retirement benefits—from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision to generous PTO, retirement matching, and wellness resources—this opportunity empowers the Critical Care Nurse Manager to lead boldly and thrive.
