Responsibilities
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists and ancillary departments as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care and flow through the ER. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
Communicates with ED physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Night shift, 6:30pm – 7:00am, Monday through Friday only (no weekends).
Qualifications- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
- ENPC, TNCC, and/or TNS preferred.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
