Job Responsibilities

Ensure appropriate use and stewardship of medical supplies and equipment to support patient safety and operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff, maintaining professional relationships and promoting a positive environment. Assess patients and respond promptly to changes in their condition; manage emergency patient situations, including codes; administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols;

educate patients and families about treatment plans and care procedures; collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans; monitor and document patient progress and treatment outcomes; perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to inform patient care; maintain accurate and detailed patient records; educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans, ensuring understanding and compliance;

participate in continuous education and training to stay current with nursing practices. Follow CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrate appropriate use of PPE, perform hand hygiene according to policy, and enforce safety regulations. Promote a positive patient experience by demonstrating caring behaviors, maintaining clear communication, and collaborating with the care team to provide safe, timely, and effective whole‑person care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Clinical nursing expertise in oncology care [Required]
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal [Required]
  • Computer proficiency [Required]
Education
  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study
  • Nursing
  • BSN
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Work Experience
  • 1+ experience in acute care nursing [Required]
  • Oncology experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) [Preferred]
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]

$33.60 - $56.52
