Full time. 36 hours per week; days 6:45 am – 7:15 pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Description- Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient responses and needs.
- Assess patients’ conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and address any complications.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients requiring venous access and infusion therapy.
- Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to ensure clinical and professional standards are met.
- Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career progression.
- Resolve conflicts among staff promptly and effectively using mediation techniques to maintain a positive work environment and ensure team cohesion.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Mentor and precept new staff by providing hands‑on training, feedback, and fostering professional development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies to maintain high standards of patient services and safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Lead unit employees in the delivery of patient care.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives on the assigned unit.
- Think critically regarding unit operations and delivery of patient care.
- Manage the business of healthcare delivery on the unit, including assessing and managing financial practices and productivity.
- Assist and mentor others on the technology used on the unit.
- Apply comprehensive clinical practice knowledge to the unit setting.
- Influence relationships and behaviors to meet unit needs.
- Act as a professionalism role model on the assigned unit.
- Possess broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accept responsibility, exercise authority, and operate independently.
- Show insight for employee growth and development and provide effective impartial counseling.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Have basic computer skills, including experience with an Electronic Health Record.
- Demonstrate specific skills and knowledge as required by the unit (see competencies).
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- 1+ year as a charge nurse or in a relevant leadership role.
- 1+ year of nursing experience in the acute care setting.
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
- Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) – Required
- Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) – Preferred
- Certified Medical‑Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) – Preferred
- Certified Nurse Operative Room (CNOR) – Preferred
- Certified RN Infusion (CRNI) – Preferred
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program – Advanced (NRP‑A) – Preferred
- Medical Surgical Nurse‑Board Certified (MEDSURG‑BC) – Preferred
- Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention Program – Preferred
- AVADE – Preferred
- Certified Post‑Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) – Preferred
- Gerontological Nurse (GERO‑BC) – Preferred
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) – Preferred
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) – Preferred
- Stroke Education (SE) – Preferred
- Vascular Access Board Certified (VA‑BC) – Preferred
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification – Preferred
Physical Requirements:
Pay Range$36.77 – $68.39
