Director of Nursing - DSL

Staunton Health & Rehab Center is looking for a Director of Nursing to join our growing team!

The Director of Nursing (DON) is a key member of the Staunton Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient-centered nursing strategy with a strong focus on resident care. The DON participates in strategic planning, contributes to facility goals and objectives, and provides leadership, training, and support to the nursing department. The ideal candidate will have prior nursing home leadership experience, strong clinical knowledge, and a passion for developing teams and delivering exceptional care.

• Treat and care for residents and their property with dignity and respect

• Work cooperatively with healthcare team members to maintain established standards of care

• Maintain confidentiality of patient data and medical records

• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and staff regarding resident care

• Ensure nursing department compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations

• Train, mentor, and onboard nursing staff

• Implement policies, procedures, and best clinical practices

• Assist with care planning and oversee quality assurance and risk management programs

• Make daily rounds to observe operations, address concerns, and ensure quality care delivery

• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and corrective action plans

• Perform additional duties as assigned by facility leadership

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Previous nursing leadership experience, preferably in long-term care
