Restorative RN Job Description
Monday - Friday. Pay based on experience starting at $23.87.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify functional limitations and develop individualized restorative care plans.
- Create detailed restorative care plans based on patient needs, including specific goals, interventions, and progress monitoring methods.
- Maintain current knowledge of MDS programs and regulations.
- Implement restorative care activities such as range of motion exercises, ambulation training, positioning and transfer techniques, and ADL assistance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all restorative care interventions, patient progress, and any complications.
- Make rounds on all shifts and provide feedback to staff.
- Oversee restraint appropriate, fall prevention, and skin management programs and provide a written report on a monthly basis.
- Perform application of splints, braces, cones, prosthetic devices and care of limbs, including managing the surgical site, fitting and adjusting prosthetic limbs, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal rehabilitation.
- Prepare a written report of restorative program activities on a planned, systematic basis.
- Provide care and support to individuals experiencing urinary or fecal incontinence, including assessing needs, implementing appropriate management strategies such as bladder training, providing hygiene assistance, fitting incontinence products, and educating patients and caregivers on best practices to maintain dignity and quality of life.
- Provide general nursing care such as positioning residents, lifting and turning residents, applying and utilizing special equipment, assisting in use of bedpan or commode, and ambulating residents.
- Regularly evaluate patient progress towards restorative goals, documenting changes in functional status and making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Respond to residents’ call light and other indicators for assistance promptly and courteously and follow through to meet residents’ needs.
- Train and supervise CNAs on proper restorative care techniques, ensuring they follow established care plans.
- ADN (Required)
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Estimated compensation range: $23.87 - $37.00 per hour, based on experience.
