Description
Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is accepting applications for a Substitute School Nurse to provide nursing services to students in the absence of the regularly assigned school nurse.
RequirementsValid and registered Illinois R.N. License. School Nurse Certification also preferred.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and specialized health procedures in accordance with applicable laws, physician orders, and district procedures.
- Monitor students with diabetes and provide care in accordance with their individual diabetes care plans.
- Provide first aid and other health-related services to students.
- Assess student health concerns and determine appropriate follow-up or referral.
- Respond to health emergencies and implement appropriate emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
- Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and health care providers as appropriate.
- Follow district health policies, procedures, and applicable Illinois requirements.
- Perform other health-related duties as assigned.
$40-50 per hour.
