The responsibility of the Assisted Living Nurse is to provide and assist with the coordination of the residents of Snyder Village Assisted Living.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Pass medication and provide nursing care for memory care residents.
• Provide ADL and other personal assistance to memory care residents.
• Provide nursing care to traditional assisted living residents per care plan or in emergency situations.
• Document according to community policy.
• Consult with caregivers or resident’s responsible party regarding nursing questions or concerns.
• May delegate tasks to memory care caregivers as appropriate.
• Works closely with Memory Care Coordinator to ensure optimal resident care is provided.
• Must subscribe to and uphold Snyder Village Mission and Values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.

• Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions.
• Is involved with personnel, residents, families and other visitors under all conditions and circumstances.
• Is subject to anxious and emotionally upset residents and families.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience:

• RN or LPN required.
• CPR Certification.
• Experience with dementia residents preferred.
