Description

American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN with an active IL license and at least 1 year of ED experience for a night shift travel assignment.

Details

13-week assignment in the Emergency Department
Night shift, 12-hour shifts (3x12), 19:00-07:00
Weekend coverage required every third weekend, with additional shifts as agreed upon
Patient population spans neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Handles all standard ED presentations and diagnoses
Uses Pyxis medication system, Medi Tech documentation, and Vocera communication system

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
Minimum of 1 year Emergency Department experience required
Experience in a combined adult/pediatric ED setting
Skilled in phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, central line care/management, and blood product administration
Skilled in continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and interpretation of ABGs
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE
Medi Tech charting system experience preferred

Additional Information

Provide emergency nursing care across the full patient age spectrum, addressing conditions such as CVA, ortho-trauma, head injury, and near drowning
Navy blue scrubs required
Maximum of 5 days RTO
First-time travelers welcome to apply
No prior travel nursing experience required
Local candidates accepted at the same rate
