Duties & Responsibilities:

The Nurse Manager of Clinical Nursing is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinical nursing unit or department. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership and administrative responsibilities to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The Nurse Manager acts as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital administration, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Leadership & Management
• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities.
• Recruit, hire, train, and mentor nursing personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary actions.
• Develop staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
• Clinical Oversight
• Ensure adherence to clinical standards, protocols, and best practices.
• Monitor patient care quality and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Administrative Duties
• Manage departmental budgets, including staffing and supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Implement and update nursing policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
• Quality Improvement
• Lead initiatives to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
• Analyze data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Promote staff education and professional development.
• Communication
• Serve as a point of contact for patient and family concerns.
• Facilitate effective communication between staff and leadership.
