Clinical Nurse Specialist-CVOR

Community hospital system looking to bring on Clinical Nurse Specialist! Sign On Bonus and Relocation!

Functions as a clinical expert for the CVOR specialty area. Uses a framework for professional evidence-based nursing practice within three spheres of influence: patient/family nursing and system/organization. Acts as a consultant to address complex patient care issues, provides guidance in prevention and management of patient care practice. Coordinates, coaches, educates and leads nursing staff in evidence-based clinical practice quality improvement and patient safety.

Conducts, facilitates or applies research to enhance patient care and outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Master's degree in Nursing required
• Doctoral degree in Nursing Education or Healthcare Administration preferred
• 5+ years of progressively related experience
• Experience with larger program that handles transplants, VAD’s, heart failure, aortic, robotic, congenital heart surgery experience a plus
• Experience in nursing advanced practice role preferred
• Specialty certification from a nationally recognized nursing organization within 1 Year required
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
