EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT OVERVIEWFMH’s nine bed Emergency Department serves our community 24 hours a day. FMH is an EMSC Standby Emergency Department for Pediatrics and a Stroke Ready Hospital. In 2026, FMH received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Rural Gold Recognition Award. Continuing education is part of how our Emergency Department team grows together. We offer American Heart Association courses taught in house, and provide ongoing emergency care training in collaboration with regional partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and documentation.

Accurately triage patients and respond to emergent situations.

Administer medications and IV therapies safely and effectively.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow‑up care.

Assist with orienting new staff and supporting Emergency Department Technicians and Unit Secretaries.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices.

Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.

Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and respect for diverse patient needs.

COMPENSATION: $34.00 – $46.50 per hour, plus a $10.00 per hour Weekend Option Differential

SCHEDULE:

Weekend Option Mid Shift, 10:00 am – 10:00 pmThis position is regularly scheduled on the weekend mid shift. The RN must also be willing to help cover day or night weekend shifts when another Weekend Option team member is absent due to illness or scheduled time off. Advance notice will be provided when possible.
