• standing, walking, and heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) as required for nursery work
• ability to work in varied weather conditions and in field or outdoor environments
• willingness to operate agricultural equipment and power tools as needed

• crops/commodities: nursery stock, trees, shrubs. Pack, label, pull and store plants according to variety.
• perform general maintenance of field-grown plants and assist with holding yards and shipping areas.
• handle manual tasks related to growing and maintaining nursery stock, including:
  • plant cultivation, pruning, spacing, irrigation, and culling to ensure marketable products
  • prepare fields for planting by clearing debris; propagate plants from cuttings; plant cuttings or liners
  • transplant trees and shrubs, dig, load/unload, and move nursery stock
  • weed control, irrigation setup, soil and mulch spreading, and soil preparation
  • potting, boxing, and handling soil and plants; ensure careful handling to prevent damage
• harvest-related tasks: inventory and grade plants, prepare for digging, wrapping and securing root balls, and packing for storage
• operate or assist with mechanized tree spade helpers and heavy equipment as part of a crew
• assist with building seasonal holding structures and transporting irrigation equipment
• follow safety practices; handling or exposure to chemicals used for irrigation or pest control

work requires long periods on their feet, bending, repetitive movements, and extensive walking. The job may involve exposure to wet weather and seasonal temperature variations (e.g., 10 to 100 f). Allergies to related chemicals may affect performance. Safety rules prohibit working under the influence of alcohol or drugs and require adherence to company policies on property usage.
