Position Overview

Performs fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs and lawns using spray and injection tools.

• Identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungal conditions, and pest-prone areas.
• Communicate with and educate clients regarding diagnoses and prescribed pest control and fertilization services.
• Monitor plant health and fertilization effectiveness after application and report progress to customers and supervisors.
• Operate, maintain, and drive equipment including trucks and sprayers.

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred:
  Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping.
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of turf, weed, tree, and shrub identification, plant pathology, and turf or tree physiology.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred:
  Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
