Role Description We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist, either full-time or part-time is available. Veterinary Receptionists at our clinic are responsible for providing friendly, professional front-desk support to clients and their pets. Day-to-day tasks include greeting clients, checking patients in and out, managing appointment scheduling, and accurately entering and updating client and patient information in our practice management system. The role involves greeting clients, answering phones, responding to emails and text communications, and supporting the veterinary team with other tasks as needed.
In this role, you will also provide basic client education about clinic policies, services, and visit expectations, while maintaining a clean, organized reception area. This position requires a positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Strong client service and communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and professional phone etiquette.
- Experience with appointment scheduling and basic administrative tasks, ideally in a veterinary, medical, or customer service setting.
- Comfort around animals and basic understanding of animal care and handling in a front-desk environment.
- High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other team members.
- Proficiency with computers and practice management or scheduling software; willingness to learn new systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in veterinary reception, healthcare, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
