The Safety Coordinator helps promote a safe and positive work environment by working directly with employees, supervisors, and leadership. This position focuses on employee engagement, safety training, communication, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Responsibilities- Build positive relationships with employees and help promote a strong safety culture.
- Conduct new hire safety orientations and employee training sessions.
- Assist with safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee communications.
- Walk the facility regularly to identify potential safety concerns and improvement opportunities.
- Work with employees and supervisors to encourage safe work practices.
- Help investigate workplace incidents and identify ways to prevent future occurrences.
- Track safety-related information and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with creating presentations, training materials, and safety communications using Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
- Participate in safety committees and employee engagement activities.
- Support OSHA compliance efforts and company safety initiatives through on-the-job training and development.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and reduce workplace risks.
- Help coordinate safety-related projects and continuous improvement efforts.

Schedule- First Shift
- Monday through Friday
- 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
- Paid lunch break
- Occasional schedule flexibility or overtime may be required to support training activities, incident investigations, or business needs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, operational, military, or similar environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable speaking in front of small groups and conducting employee training.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and regulations.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Experience leading teams, training employees, or coordinating workplace activities.
- Experience creating presentations or using PowerPoint.
- Experience with workplace safety initiatives, employee training, quality programs, or continuous improvement activities.
- Knowledge of warehouse or manufacturing operations.
Previous safety certifications or formal safety experience are not required. SC2 is willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong communication skills, reliability, professionalism, and a desire to learn.
