Sweet Life by Sucro is seeking a hands‑on Quality Assurance Supervisor to support food safety and quality programs within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. This role will supervise QA Technicians, oversee daily lab and quality activities, support SQF/FSMA compliance, and help drive continuous improvement across plant quality systems. The ideal candidate brings strong food safety knowledge, floor‑level leadership, and the ability to work cross‑functionally with production, operations, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise QA Technicians, including daily scheduling, task oversight, and lab operations.
  • Support plant‑wide food safety and quality programs, including SQF, FSMA, HACCP, SOPs, Organic, Kosher, and Non‑GMO requirements.
  • Perform internal audits and support corrective actions tied to audits, inspections, nonconformances, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate CAPA, Hold and Release, document control, recordkeeping, mock recalls, and recall support.
  • Monitor quality KPIs, analyze product/specification data, and recommend improvements.
  • Support customer audits, new product start‑ups, equipment start‑ups, and quality‑related troubleshooting.
  • Facilitate department training related to work instructions, food safety, quality standards, certifications, and regulations.
  • Partner with production and plant leadership to resolve food safety and quality issues quickly and effectively.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of food safety/quality experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience.
  • Science‑related degree preferred; equivalent food safety/quality experience considered.
  • PCQI and HACCP certification preferred.
  • SQF Practitioner certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of lab procedures, documentation, audits, corrective actions, and regulatory/customer requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Ideal Candidate

This is a great fit for a QA professional who is comfortable being on the plant floor, leading a small team, staying close to the details, and helping maintain a strong food safety culture in a growing manufacturing environment.
